Family Life Ministries is more than a church. It is the sum total of the people who consider it their spiritual home, plus the sense of community, the generosity and warmth, and the profound desire that every person should feel like a welcome member of a greater family.

You’ll feel like you belong at Family Life Ministries. We embrace diversity and individuality and we encourage all to contribute to the wellbeing of fellow members of the congregation. For those in genuine physical need, we provide a safe haven and practical assistance in the form of food parcels, clothing, furniture, language support and recommendations to doctors and other professionals.

We are a church but we’re more than that. We’re a family, a community, a group of human beings who give and receive as required. The focus is not just on the spiritual but how it flows out into every single aspect of everyday life.

We believe that simply going to church once a week for a couple of hours and then passing the rest of the week without any thought toward others or being part of a connected community, is counter-productive.

Every part of our lives should be spiritual. By that we mean that God is interested in every aspect of our lives and wants them to be the best possible. This is why we offer practical support from help with budgeting and parenting, through to counselling, group discussions and get-togethers.

For those in need, a church service will offer hope and warm the heart, but it won’t fill bellies and it won’t pay the electricity bill. Family Life Ministries is about nourishing the spiritual, social and practical wellbeing. And by giving those in need a hand up, instead of a hand out, we alleviate difficult circumstances. Those people in turn, will be a part of the support system when it becomes possible for them.
